Draft — to be reviewed before launch

This text is a plain-language draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet.

MakeNext ("we") helps YouTube creators see what their viewers keep asking for. This page explains, in plain words, what data we use and why.

What we access

  • Your channel and video list, so you can pick a video.
  • The public comments on the video you select.
  • Non-monetary YouTube Analytics for your own channel (like views and retention), only when you allow it.
  • Your account details: email, optional name, and a password hash (or your Google sign-in id).

What we never access

  • We do not access or use your YouTube revenue or monetization data.
  • We cannot post, edit, delete or moderate anything on your channel. Our access is read-only.
  • We never see your YouTube or Google password.

Google sign-in and tokens

You connect through Google's own consent screen. We receive access tokens, not your password. Tokens are encrypted at rest. You can revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

AI processing

Comment text (trimmed to 500 characters each), video title/description and an anonymous comment id are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic, Claude API) to group comments into themes; it is not used to train shared models.

  • The AI provider is configurable. If we change it, it will be listed here.
  • We send the minimum text needed. We do not send commenter names or channel ids.
  • AI-written text is labelled in the app. Counts and evidence are computed by us from your real comments.

“What's working” insights

  • When you ask for insights, we read your own latest uploads (titles, views, likes, comments, length) and, if you allowed analytics, their first-week YouTube Analytics numbers. Never revenue, never other channels.
  • Video titles and your viewer asks are sent to our AI provider only to group videos into topics and suggest ideas. Every number is calculated by us.
  • We keep the latest result for up to 30 days, and delete it straight away if you disconnect your channel.

Free quick check (no account)

  • When you check a video without an account, we read a small sample of its public comments and send them to our AI provider as described above.
  • We don't store those comments. Results are kept in memory for up to 6 hours so repeat checks of the same video are instant.
  • To limit free checks per day, we use a one-way hash of your IP address that resets daily. We never store your raw IP address.

Ads, selling and sharing

  • No ads and no ad targeting.
  • We do not sell or share your channel, analytics, or comment data with advertisers or other creators.
  • We do not use your data to train shared models.

Commenter privacy

We do not store commenter names or channel ids. We keep only anonymous keys so we can count things like repeat commenters in aggregate.

How long we keep data

  • Raw comment text is deleted after 30 days.
  • Performance snapshots are refreshed or deleted within 30 days.
  • When you disconnect your channel, we revoke access and delete the stored YouTube data.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your account data. We may keep limited records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

Payments

Payments are handled by Razorpay. We do not store your card data.
